Job summary

The Timberline Group is seeking a Power BI professional with 5+ years of experience to develop and administer Power BI solutions, create visual dashboards and KPI scorecards, and connect to data sources for BI transformation.

You will implement row-level security, understand security layers, and integrate reports into other apps using Embedded analytics or API automation. Proficiency with Azure, SQL data warehouse, and SQL queries is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience translating data into informative visuals and reports.
• Ability to implement RLS and secure BI data models.
• Experience integrating BI reports via embedded analytics or APIs.
• Knowledge of Azure and SQL data warehouse concepts.

Responsibilities

• Discuss requirements, designs, principles, deliverables and priorities with Product Owner.
• Define, plan and execute epics, features and stories to deliver per stakeholder expectations.
• Contribute to Data Platform standards and framework.
• Document business requirements, system mappings and patterns for changes and projects.

We are hiring for an Applicant with 5+yrs of experience with the below skills

• Power BI development and administration
• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
• Connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
• Able to implement row level security (RLS) on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
• Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using Embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation.
• Should have knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse.
• In-depth understanding of database management systems and knowledge of SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Discuss requirements, designs, principles, deliverables, planning and priorities with Product Owner;
• Define, plan and execute epics, features and stories to deliver according to stakeholder expectations;
• Give input and extend our Data Platform standards and framework;
• Define & Document business requirements, system mappings and patterns in a comprehensive manner by evaluating change requests, joining projects and reviewing existing patterns.
