Qualifications

Experience designing and implementing large-scale data architectures.
Strong knowledge of Fabric components (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks).
Experience with data governance, security, quality, monitoring, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Design scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric and its components.
Assess existing Azure Synapse and legacy platforms; define migration strategies to Fabric.
Lead technical and functional discovery of data flows, business logic, integrations, and dependencies.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Fabric Data Factory.
Perform root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and pipeline optimization.
Reverse-engineer existing pipelines, SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data transformations.
Define target-state architecture, modernization roadmaps, and migration plans.
Prepare architecture diagrams, technical assessments, and solution design documents.
Ensure data governance, security, quality, monitoring, and CI/CD best practices.

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Architect with strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Python, PySpark, SQL, and enterprise data engineering.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

Design scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, and Notebooks).
Assess existing Azure Synapse and legacy platforms and define migration strategies to Microsoft Fabric.
Lead technical and functional discovery of applications, data flows, business logic, integrations, and dependencies.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Fabric Data Factory.
Perform root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and pipeline optimization.

Preferred: Medallion Architecture, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Microsoft Fabric certifications.
