We are seeking a Sr Fabric Data Architect to own the big-picture Fabric platform across multiple projects, guiding architecture decisions and coordinating teams for successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Senior Fabric expert capable of architectural leadership across multiple projects.
• Experience owning a roadmap and communicating with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience is valued for context but focus is on planning and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end Fabric solutions across OneLake, Lakehouse, and Data Factory.
• Lead architecture decisions and maintain the Fabric roadmap across teams.
• Define database/schema design, warehouse strategy, and semantic layers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align projects with business goals.

Summary

A senior-level architect who can own the big-picture view of the Microsoft Fabric platform — not hands-on pipeline building, but planning and oversight across multiple teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, and Power BI semantic models
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components: OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering (Spark notebooks), and Power BI.
• Own and maintain the overall Fabric roadmap — what gets built, in what order, and why
• Design and architect end-to-end Fabric solutions, including database/schema design, virtual warehouse strategy, data sharing, and semantic/consumption layers.

Ideal consultant:

• Senior Fabric expert (architect-level, not just a developer) with experience across multiple Fabric projects, not just one
• Strong at big-picture planning, prioritization, and stakeholder communication, not just technical build
• Prior experience owning a roadmap or leading architecture decisions at an enterprise level
