Job summary

The Vanguard Group seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to design and maintain a robust Microsoft 365 and unified communications platform. You will lead modernization efforts and shape future roadmaps while enforcing advanced security policies across the environment.

You will develop runbooks, automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell and Python, and drive end-to-end implementations from planning through production.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in enterprise IT with focus on Microsoft 365 architecture and related infrastructure.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, governance, identity and access management.
• Hands-on administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Office365).
• Strong troubleshooting across networking, identity, endpoints and cloud services.
• Demonstrated leadership to set standards, drive decisions and document technical guidance.
• Experience leading complex modernizations in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise architecture for Microsoft 365 and unified communications services.
• Lead modernization initiatives and define future-state roadmaps.
• Implement advanced security configurations and governance policies (Conditional Access, Defender, DLP, MFA, Zero Trust).
• Develop and maintain runbooks for Tier 2 support.
• Create automation scripts and pipelines (PowerShell, Python, Graph API).
• Lead end-to-end implementations from requirements to production rollout and handoff.
• Troubleshoot complex multi-domain issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, network, NOC, and end-user computing to align security and ops.
