Job summary

Village Farms International is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to design, implement, and secure our Microsoft 365 environment across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, Defender, Intune, and Purview.

You will lead architecture, optimize configurations, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with security and infrastructure teams to ensure a stable, scalable workspace for our enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Deep expertise in Exchange Online (including hybrid deployments).
• SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Defender and Teams.
• Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA.
• Strong PowerShell automation experience.
• Solid understanding of identity, authentication, and access management.
• Experience with M365 security and compliance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 tenant architecture aligned with business and security requirements.
• Optimize tenant configuration for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Evaluate new Microsoft 365 features and roadmap items; provide recommendations and adoption strategies.
• Manage Exchange Online mail flow, hybrid configurations, retention, eDiscovery, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee SharePoint Online & OneDrive site architecture, permissions, storage management, governance.
• Manage Microsoft Teams channels, policies, voice integration, lifecycle management.
• Oversee Entra ID identity governance and lifecycle, conditional access, MFA, SSO.
• Administer Intune, Windows Autopilot enrollment and endpoint management.
• Apply Purview DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, eDiscovery; enforce Zero Trust.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell, Graph API; create monitoring and health checks.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams.
