Job summary

Ledgent Technology in Irvine, CA, seeks a senior Microsoft 365 Systems Engineer to lead cloud-native architecture for the Microsoft 365 stack on a 6-month contract.

You will enforce zero-trust, optimize Intune, configure Entra ID, and govern security across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, while automating deployment and governance.

This role demands 8+ years in enterprise IT with deep Microsoft 365 expertise and the ability to deliver hands-on architecture and documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise systems engineering experience, with at least 5+ years focused on cloud-native Microsoft 365 infrastructure and architecture design.
• Pure cloud environments only; no on-prem AD or hybrid Exchange servers.
• Expert-level knowledge of Entra ID governance, CA design, and identity boundary security.
• Extensive Intune experience for device fleets, provisioning workflows, and app deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize Microsoft 365 cloud governance and security policies.
• Implement Conditional Access policies and MFA configurations.
• Standardize admin roles using PIM and secure external sharing.
• Design Intune configuration, compliance policies, and device management.
• Utilize Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager for device provisioning.
• Remediate tenant vulnerabilities and improve Secure Score.
