Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to lead end-to-end studies for microgrids and inverter-dominated systems. You will perform RMS/EMT analyses, ensure interconnection compliance, and develop RAM models to inform architecture decisions.

The role includes SIL/HIL validation and documentation for formal delivery to utilities and EPCs. You will collaborate across engineering teams, present findings to customers, and support testing and commissioning activities as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
3–7+ years in power system studies, protection engineering, validation, or RAM modeling.
Experience with PSCAD, PSS/E, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory for RMS/EMT modeling.
Experience with ETAP and CYME protection studies.
Familiarity with inverter-based resources and microgrid interconnection requirements.
HIL/RTDS or equivalent closed-loop validation experience.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficient in English; willingness to travel up to ~15%.

Perform RMS and EMT studies for microgrids and inverter-dominated systems.
Evaluate grid interconnection and comply reporting and reporting.
Protection modeling and coordination for grid-connected and islanded operation.
RAM modeling to support architecture trade-offs and SLA determinations.
System validation using SIL/HIL with RTDS and real-time controls.
Create study packages, reports, and mitigation recommendations for utilities and EPCs.
