AES US Renewables & Power is seeking a Microgrid Controls Engineer to design, develop, test, implement, and commission microgrid control solutions integrating natural-gas generation, battery energy storage systems, solar generation, utility interconnections, and site electrical loads.

The role delivers safe and reliable automation, HMI, SCADA, protection, communications, and control-system solutions from design through field startup and turnover.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years in power-distribution controls or automation, microgrids, or SCADA.
• Experience programming automation controllers/PLCs (ladder, structured text, function block, CODESYS).
• Knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850 protocols.
• Field startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement microgrid control solutions with gensets, BESS, solar, and interconnections.
• Develop software for PLC/SCADA/HMI, data concentrators, and automation controllers.
• Create control philosophies, sequences, and test procedures.
• Configure networks and industrial communications; support interfaces.
• Coordinate with PM, electrical, protection, and vendors to meet schedule and safety goals.
• Lead factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and commissioning.
