Job summary

Arizona State University seeks a Research Technician to support the Biodesign Center for Health through Microbiomes (HTM) in Tempe. The role provides technical and operational lab support with some independence to aid ongoing research projects while upholding lab safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a biology/microbiology background or 4 years of related research, plus strong organizational, time management, and data analysis skills. Flexible part-time scheduling is possible based on needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, or related field, or four years of related research experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of microbiology, molecular biology, microbiomics, and/or analytical chemistry.
• Knowledge of modern research methods, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for the HTM under the PI's direction.
• Support day-to-day research activities including lab operations and projects.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to support the center's mission.
• Maintain organized research records and assist with data collection and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support research and operational objectives.
