HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services in Florida seeks a Microbiology Technologist/ Microbiologist for PRN coverage. The role involves performing stat and routine microbiology and serology, applying laboratory medicine concepts, and handling specimen processing and referrals as needed.

Candidates should have 2-year/associate degree in science; bachelor’s in Medical Technology is preferred, and a Florida technologist license or ability to obtain one during the interview is required.

Formación

• 2-year/associate degree in a science.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Florida technologist license required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Microbiology specialty with serology/immunology experience preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Perform stat and routine microbiology and/or serology testing
• Apply theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine using independent judgement to ensure timely and accurate results
• Perform non-technical duties including specimen receipt, processing, storage, retrieval and submission of samples for referral testing as required
• Support the department in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra- and inter-departmental activities
