Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Microbiology Technician to join our team in Amarillo, TX. The role focuses on preparing samples for analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental surfaces, applying approved techniques in a regulated lab.

As part of FSNS labs, you will maintain aseptic conditions, document results, and support quality control and safety programs. A High School diploma or GED is required; an associate degree or lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Life Science or two years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of a food testing laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Maintain media and reagents for daily microbiological testing.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials as needed.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning and sanitizing.
