Job summary

HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services is seeking a Core Laboratory Supervisor in Florida to lead technical and non-technical staff, manage daily operations, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes driving service quality, staff development, and patient-centered outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, 5 years of Medical Technologist experience, and Florida supervisor licensure (or ability to obtain).

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology required
  • 5 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist
  • State of Florida Supervisor License in all 5 specialty areas or the ability to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee personnel, processes, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas, including specimen processing and testing.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Seeking a Core Laboratory Supervisor to provide expertise and champion results. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels the patient experience is as meaningful as we do.

You Will:
  • Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise personnel, processes, service levels, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas. Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licenses, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing
  • Responsible for achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities in areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates skill required to supervise, teach and motivate staff
  • Review and approve payroll time sheets, purchasing requisitions, check requests, and scheduling requests
You Should Have:
  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology required
  • 5 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist
  • State of Florida Supervisor License in all 5 specialty areas or the ability to obtain
