Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) in Microbiology at Evanston Hospital. Part-time 20 hours weekly, Monday-Friday 7am–3:30pm, with rotation and weekends on a rotating holiday schedule.

You will perform clinical microbiology tests, maintain multiplex instruments, and resolve interdepartmental issues. Strong communication and organization are essential as part of a cooperative lab team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in lab science.
• MT or MLS (ASCP) preferred.
• Experience in clinical lab setting preferred.
• Ability to identify and correct test-related problems.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical microbiology tests in one or more lab sections.
• Maintains and calibrates multiplex instrumentation systems.
• Resolves technical/interdepartmental problems with lab teams.
• Identifies issues affecting test performance and notifies supervisor.
• Demonstrates teamwork and strong communication.
