American Health Associates is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist – Microbiology in Cincinnati. The role involves performing complex microbiology testing and delivering timely, accurate results to support patient care.

The ideal candidate will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences and relevant certification (ASCP MLS/MT or MLT). Microbiology experience and strong analytical skills are preferred for a high-quality lab program.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• ASCP MLS/MT or MLT certification preferred.
• Microbiology laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of culture techniques and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and microbiology testing according to established procedures
• Process and culture specimens, identify microorganisms, and perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing
• Evaluate, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and promptly
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot microbiology instrumentation and equipment
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing activities
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and laboratory policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership to deliver exceptional patient results
