Job summary

Overlake Medical Center Laboratory Department is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician with Microbiology expertise. The candidate should be ASCP registered (MT/MLS/CLS) with microbiology lab experience and a solid grasp of regulatory requirements.

You will process diverse specimens, troubleshoot instruments, and work within SOPs while collaborating with a skilled team. Epic LIS experience is a plus; 0.875 FTE schedule applies with 7-on/7-off shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field with MT/MLS/CLS path and certification within six months.
• ASCP/NAACLS route: MT/MLS/CLS certification within six months.
• Experience in hospital-based lab preferred; microbiology context.
• Route 3: extensive clinical lab experience with multiple disciplines; MT/MLS/CLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze specimens to detect infections.
• Operate and troubleshoot a variety of lab instruments.
• Follow SOPs and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of LIS systems; Epic preferred.
• Collaborate with the microbiology team to ensure quality results.
