Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician in Microbiology. You will process and analyze specimens to detect clinically significant infections, and ASCP registered MT/MLS or NCA-CLS certification is required within six months if needed.

The position is 0.875 FTE (7 on/7 off), 1:00 PM–10:30 PM, with a pay range of $30.85–$62.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• ASCP MT/MLS or NCA-CLS certification required within six months of start date.
• Bachelor's degree with NAACLS-accredited MT program or equivalent; certification may be required.
• One year hospital-based lab experience preferred; MT/MLS/NCA-CLS certification required for some routes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing lab practices and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze specimens (body fluids, respiratory, urine, stool, tissues) to identify infections.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab instruments; follow SOPs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain familiarity with Epic and other LIS for data entry and results reporting.
• Collaborate with microbiology team to ensure timely, accurate diagnostic results.
