Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Technologist to join our team. The role focuses on specimen testing, instrument operation and ensuring accurate results within a high-volume clinical setting.

You will work Tue-Sat 8:30am–5:00pm, perform quality control, maintain equipment, and collaborate with teammates to deliver reliable patient data. A bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological sciences or MLS/CLS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological science, CLS or MLS.
• 1+ year of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
