MPL Laboratories in Sparta, NJ is seeking a Laboratory Support Assistant I to prepare, clean, and maintain the laboratory. This full-time role reports to the Assistant Group Leader of Laboratory Services.

Responsibilities include preparing media, assisting with autoclave validations, washing glassware, cleaning equipment, recording data and QA/QC of records, and ensuring safety standards. The successful candidate will be reliable, able to work independently or as part of a team, and capable of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Laboratory experience in academic or commercial setting is a plus.
• Microbiology lab experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media using media work instructions.
• Assist with autoclave validations and sterilization.
• Wash glassware and clean laboratory equipment.
• Clean autoclaves, stove tops and benches; maintain cleanliness.
• Enter data into log books daily for QA/QC.
• Operate balances, dispensers and pH meters; monitor equipment.
• Follow safety standards and wear PPE.
• Move shipments and assist with general lab duties.
