Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a 2nd Shift Laboratory Technician in Columbia, MO to perform microbiological and chemical testing of our food products, under established procedures. You will support QA initiatives and assist with various projects related to food safety and quality.

Under direct supervision, you will maintain lab equipment, manage data in LIMS, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines while collaborating with team members to deliver accurate results.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; college degree in microbiology preferred.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, individually or as a team.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Outlook; strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological and chemical testing of food products.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and sanitize laboratory equipment.
• Enter data and manage information in the LIMS database.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory consumables and report status.
• Follow laboratory safety guidelines and support continuous QA efforts.
