Under direct supervision and under established laboratory procedures, the technician would be responsible for conducting microbiological and chemical testing of food product. In addition, they will assist with various companywide projects related food safety and quality.
HS Diploma or equivalent, college degree in microbiology preferred. Relevant work experience and proven skills will be considered in lieu of education.
Ability to work-in a fast-paced environment both individually and as a team
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as business demands
Basic computer skills required, including Outlook and Excel
Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Basic understanding of Quality Control Laboratory equipment & methodologies
Laboratory environment; sterile environment. Potentially working with hazardous materials. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
