Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a Technical Specialist in the laboratory who can perform waived and non-waived tests across specialty areas under CLIA, reading results with accuracy to support patient care.

Under supervision, you will train staff and students, manage competency assessments, update SOPs, and ensure QC is documented; you will collaborate with the Technical Director and lab leadership to uphold quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Sciences required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• 3-5 years in a specialty laboratory recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived tests as directed.
• Follow quality control and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate test results and records.
• Train and assess competency of staff and trainees.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and leadership.
