Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories, in partnership with Banner Health, seeks a senior laboratory technical leader to support system management in developing procedures, policies, and staff education across the lab network.

The role focuses on quality, regulatory compliance, and continual process improvement, with coordination of education programs and system-wide standardization of practices. A strong background in laboratory regulatory requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four (4) years' training and experience in nonwaived testing in their technical specialty.
• Excellent working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise and support for system manager in procedures, policies, and staff education.
• Develops and implements QC/QA policies; participates in CQI projects and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assists in financial evaluations of testing procedures and instrumentation; recommends cost-effective changes.
• Provides technical staff development, in-services, orientation, and continuing education across the system.
• Serves as a system technical resource for testing sites across shifts and consults with physicians and nurses.
