Job summary

Emerson Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine and specialized CLIA-Waived and Non-Waived diagnostic tests in Microbiology, Urinalysis and Serology under supervision. You will process specimens, analyze results, and report findings while maintaining instrumentation and adhering to quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma with preferred Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certifications, or is an MT/MLT student enrolled in relevant degree programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certifications preferred.
• MLT or MT student enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor's Degree program in Microbiology, Biology, Basic Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science preferred.
• No license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized CLIA-Waived and Non-Waived diagnostic laboratory tests in Microbiology, Urinalysis and Serology.
• Process and analyze specimens, report results to appropriate personnel and maintain instrumentation.
• Under general supervision of the Microbiology Supervisor and guidance of a Medical Technologist.
