Job summary

The ideal candidate has a BS in microbiology with 2–3 years of lab experience, and at least 1 year of QA or microbiological testing experience in cosmetics, nutritional, or pharmaceutical industries.

Qualifications

• BS degree in microbiology with 2-3 years of lab experience.
• At minimum, 1+ years of QA or microbiological testing experience in cosmetics, nutrition, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Able to carry up to 50 pounds and stand/sit for long periods.
• Must be able to rotate one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Assist in microbial challenge testing of new products to determine adequacy of preservation.
• Bioburden, water, and environmental testing (air plates, swabs, conductivity).
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Maintain notebooks and logs for media prep and controls.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and sanitation.
• Document testing procedures and results clearly.
