Job summary

Standard Process Inc. in Palmyra, WI, is seeking a Microbiologist I to ensure product safety and quality through microbial testing and GMP/GLP documentation.

You will test products and environmental swabs for bacteria, maintain instrument calibration, and support QA with accurate records. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or microbiology and at least four years of lab experience; experience in QC/GLP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology, or related field.
• 4+ years of laboratory experience.
• Experience in QC/GLP is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test products and environmental swabs for bacteria (coliforms, E. coli, Staph, Listeria, etc.).
• Test products for gluten.
• Generate GMP & GLP documentation.
• Perform instrument verifications and calibrations.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies.
• Validate new lab procedures.
• Verify product labels.
• Sample products, raw materials, and environmental swabs as needed.
