Job summary

SGS North America, Inc. in Fairfield, New Jersey, is seeking a Microbiologist II to mentor and train staff, perform analyses under USP, EP, FDA and EPA guidelines, and ensure data integrity in a cGMP environment.

You will manage LIMS data entry, maintain records, calibrate instruments, and contribute to R&D projects while upholding strict quality and safety standards. This role requires a Bachelor's in Microbiology or related field and at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field plus two years of experience.
• Experience with LIMS data entry and chain of custody documentation.
• Familiarity with USP, EP, ASTM, AOAC, FDA, EPA or client-provided procedures.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new microbiologists.
• Quality assurance tasks: lab area monitoring, media qualification, calibration, maintenance and sterilization procedures.
• Conduct analyses per compendia procedures and client instructions.
• Practice aseptic techniques and disinfection per SOPs.
• Design and execute R&D frameworks in cGMP environments while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
