Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES Crete Analytical Laboratory in Crete, IL is seeking a Microbiologist 2 to perform sample analyses and support lab procedures in a fast-growing public health environment.

You will be a technical resource, ensure quality guidelines, work with LIMS, train staff, and prepare client reports while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant microbiology laboratory work.
• Basic chemistry knowledge and food science awareness needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical resource in the laboratory.
• Perform sample analysis and provide feedback for process improvements.
• Educate and train departmental personnel on procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of LIMS and ensure quality control documentation.
• Read, enter and evaluate process control samples; prepare client reports.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in equipment maintenance.
