Job description

Perform analyses of raw material and finished products. Follow established procedures identified on specifications. Perform related duties as directed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze raw material and finished-product samples per established methods, including media preparation.
• Conduct environmental testing, water testing, and cleaning validations.
• Operate different laboratory equipment, including autoclave and Soleris.
• Review SOPs as related to Microbiology laboratory.
• Follow appropriate methods to test samples for required microbiological analysis.
• Ensure all laboratory equipment are maintained and calibrated per established schedule.
• Order media, reagents, parts and services needed for the laboratory.
• Prepare operation reports as directed by management team.
• Perform additional related duties as directed.
• File reports as required.
• Record daily temperatures for a variety of equipment.
• Clean glassware, refrigerators, and autoclave per established schedule

Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Minimum BA/BS degree in biology or a related scientific field
• Read, write, and speak English
• Understanding of cGMP
• Basic Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• Fluency in Spanish desirable, but not required
