Quality Microbiologist

Compensation:$30-35/hr
Schedule: M-F, 1st shift
Location: Bristol, PA
Duration: 6-month contract

Summary:
This Quality Microbiologist will support the Home and Personal Care cleansing division in North America.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct microbiological testing as necessary to support new product development (growth studies, challenge testing, method suitability, gram negative detection)
  
• Conduct pasteurization studies to guide industrialization processes
  
• Provide lab support for micro audits at company plants (microbial content analysis, risk assessments)
  
• Document all work
  
• Communicate results with the microbiology team and key stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Minimum B.S degree in a scientific discipline (microbiology or similar field preferred), M.S preferred
  
• Experience working as a microbiologist in industry is preferred, particularly in the area of quality microbiology or microbiological hygiene
  
• Experience working in a BSL 2 laboratory
  
• Strong aseptic technique
  
• Knowledge of microbiological testing methodologies (i.e. USP 51,61,62; ISO 11930, method suitability)is a plus
