Penn State IT is seeking a Micro-credential Platform Administrator (Business Systems Analyst – Intermediate Professional) to support the administration, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing operation of business processes and platforms that support micro-credential workflows.
This role requires an understanding of how micro-credentials differ from certificates, badges, and degree programs, including the ways they are structured to support stackable learning, competency-based education, and modular learning pathways.
The successful candidate will be familiar with digital badging concepts and workflows, including credential metadata, verification, and the processes through which credentials are issued, shared, displayed, and validated.
In this role they will act as a key liaison among academic and administrative units, platform users, vendors, and IT teams to ensure business needs are accurately translated into effective system solutions.
This position will serve as part of a collaborative team that supports the University’s educational technology ecosystem, including Canvas and related teaching and learning systems.
The role will work closely with colleagues across functional and technical areas to help ensure systems are effectively administered, integrated, and aligned with institutional needs.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate strength across several of the following areas:
Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $54,060.00 - $78,444.00.
