Carnegie Mellon University Miami is seeking a Director of Facilities Operations to lead the operational transition and establish the facilities foundation for CMU Miami. The role requires hands-on management of facilities, security, and maintenance while aligning with long-term campus expansion goals.

You will develop RFPs, define SOWs, evaluate bids, and oversee vendor contracts, budgets, and performance. A strong background in MEP systems and hard facilities operations is essential for success

Qualifications

• Experience writing RFPs, SOWs and managing procurement cycles.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of building MEP, structural components, grounds maintenance and security protocols.
• Proven ability to develop long-range maintenance plans and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of land and facilities to ensure continuity of services.
• Draft and manage RFPs for property management and maintenance services.
• Oversee vendor performance, contracts, SLAs, and KPIs across multiple departments.
• Coordinate with campus leadership on master planning goals.
