Job Summary: Provides patient advocacy through role modeling standards of performance and meeting patients’ needs for service. Assists registered nurses with direct patient care, especially activities of daily living. Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment through observation, monitoring, and direct interaction with patients, including group activities.
This position is primarily assigned to cover 1:1 and/or designated acuity shifts on the inpatient units. When no 1:1 or acuity needs are present, the employee will rejoin the float pool and be assigned to other hospital needs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences preferred; comparable behavioral health experience may substitute. Experience with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients required. Excellent written skills are necessary.
CNA Preference: 2% pay differential available for active CNA license holders.
Schedule: 20/40 part-time nights, every other weekend.
Lippitt 2 is an adult inpatient intensive treatment unit.
