Job summary

ID Logistics US in Lockport, IL seeks a Warehouse Operator to load/unload freight using powered equipment. Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm. Starting rate $19.50 per hour.

You will inspect, operate equipment, and follow safety rules to ensure accurate inventory and timely shipments. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA).
• Must be able to wear PPE per safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using powered industrial equipment; keep equipment and materials neat and orderly; inspect equipment daily and follow OSHA standards.
• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations; efficiently stack and store in appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and type loaded.
• Move product from staging or storage into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
• Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged; report quality variances.
• Keep records to ensure tight inventory control and assist in physical inventories; ensure proper stock rotation.
• Follow customer requirements for load count and product stability; ensure safe loading/unloading.
• Coordinate with other departments especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety procedures; report unsafe conditions.
• Follow GMP and report noncompliance; observe safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation
• Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.
• Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
• Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.
• Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self-corrected to the leadership team.
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
• Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Starting Rate: $19.50/hr

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
