Job summary

ID Logistics US in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced forklift/operator to move products in our distribution center using sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other lifting equipment. The role requires safe operation of powered industrial equipment to push, pull, lift, stack and transport goods.

You will load and unload shipments, stage products, prepare items for shipment, perform daily equipment inspections, maintain accuracy of inventories, and follow OSHA safety rules.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years' related experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (OSHA, company, etc.).
  • Wear PPE as required and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using powered equipment.
  • Inspect equipment daily and operate safely following OSHA standards.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control and audits.
  • Adhere to GMP and site safety rules; report unsafe conditions.

Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard.

Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
  • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.
  • Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
  • Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.
  • Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can't be self-corrected to the leadership team.
  • Follow Kane corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

$20.00 per hour plus $1.50 Shift differential

Day Shift

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
