Job summary

Idlogistics in Joliet, IL seeks a Warehouse/Equipment Operator to load, unload, stock, and move products using powered industrial equipment, following OSHA standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of inbound/outbound shipments, maintaining inventory control, coordinating with Customer Service and Maintenance, and performing housekeeping. Start rate is $19.50/hour with a $1.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; 3+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Must complete post-hire assessments.
• Must obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company).

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using powered industrial equipment.
• Inspect and operate all equipment safely following OSHA standards.
• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations; stack and store properly.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment; ensure correct quantities are loaded and shipped.
• Move product from staging/storage into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
• Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report variances.
• Maintain records for inventory control; assist in physical inventories; rotate stock.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance as needed.
• Follow GMP or safety rules; report unsafe conditions to leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Operates gasoline, liquified gas, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation
• Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.

• Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
• Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.
• Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self-corrected to the leadership team.
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
• Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00PM to 11:30PM. OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED

Start Rate: $19.50/Hour plus $1.00 shift differential.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies
