Position Summary: The Procurement Specialist - MHE supports the Senior Manager, Procurement - MHE in the administration, coordination, reporting, and execution of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) procurement activities across the North America network, including powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts), automated and ancillary equipment, and related maintenance services. This role assists with sourcing, supplier communications, contract tracking, procurement documentation, spend reporting, fleet data maintenance, and follow-up on key initiatives involving MHE and related technology (e.g., telematics). The role works to keep procurement processes organized, accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute the North America MHE category strategy, including growth, savings/avoidances, standardization, supplier performance, and operational support.
- Prepare, coordinate, and administer RFQ/RFP activities, including data collection, supplier communication, quote tracking, meeting coordination, and documentation follow-up.
- Maintain accurate MHE-related records: fleet information, purchase documentation (including lease and rental), supplier contacts, pricing files, contract dates, renewal timelines, and program trackers.
- Support spend analysis, category reporting, savings tracking, and KPI reporting to monitor procurement performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with Operations, Safety, Finance, IT, and other support teams to gather requirements, validate site needs, confirm equipment specifications, and support timely implementation of procurement initiatives.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, quarterly business review preparation, scorecard updates, service-level tracking, and follow-up on open supplier action items.
- Provide administrative and analytical support for MHE programs such as telematics, fleet management systems, maintenance programs, and equipment standardization.
- Track the rollout of executed agreements, pricing updates, equipment orders, and vendor programs to ensure stakeholders have current information and documentation.
- Organize and maintain procurement templates, dashboards, trackers, presentations, supplier files, and process documentation for the MHE category.
- Support compliance with procurement procedures, safety expectations, equipment standards, and documentation requirements.
- Perform other procurement, reporting, coordination, and project support duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Procurement - MHE.
Skills & Abilities
- Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree in engineering, Business or Logistics or equivalent fields is required; minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations support, vendor management, project coordination, or related functions.
- Physical/Work Environment: Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures; environment may vary with seasons.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with procurement administration, vendor coordination, reporting, and capital equipment or fleet-related sourcing. Experience with fleet management or telematics platforms is a plus.
- Language Skills: English (reading, writing, and verbal).
- Mathematical Skills: Intermediate mathematical, accounting, and financial skills.
- Other Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to navigate a matrixed organization; results-oriented with strong time management; ability to work under pressure and multi-task; ability to challenge existing processes; project support and administrative capabilities; good judgment and initiative; creativity and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Third-party logistics experience preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting sourcing activities for capital equipment, MHE, fleet categories, maintenance services, or vendor-managed programs is strongly preferred.
- Experience assisting with telematics, fleet management, asset tracking, or maintenance technology programs is a plus.

Base pay range: $66,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Compensation determined based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, per applicable laws and policy.
