Summary

Role focuses on movement of products throughout the warehouse using various types of Material Handling equipment. The role requires the skills and experience to operate or drive manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. A forklift certification/licence is typically required. Typical titles include Forklift Operator, Equipment Operator, MHE Operator.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following:
  • Picking
  • Packing
  • Scanning
  • Kitting (as applicable)
  • Counting products and other like duties
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and system work is completed accurately
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast‑paced environment
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment in compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of prior warehouse experience preferred
• Proficiency with forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink wrap material
• RF scan gun experience required
• Previous forklift certifications preferred
• Availability to work overtime and occasional weekends
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Can work with minimal supervision
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs. unassisted
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, and lifting objects above head level
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts

Pay Range

$21.50 hourly. This starting salary range is the anticipated wage for the position. The Company may adjust this range based on market conditions and other factors. Final salary will be determined with the selected candidate in compliance with all applicable laws. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
