Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to load and unload materials, move goods with a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The role requires following TSA/OSHA guidelines and identifying discrepancies in receiving loads.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, read instructions, and be able to work overtime or weekends as needed. Good teamwork and attention to detail are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year minimum warehouse experience.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink wrap.
• RF scan gun experience required.
• Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks.
• Perform material handling duties including picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
• Ensure timeliness and accurate completion of packaging and system work.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator oversees loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. They maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against the manifest.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks.

• Ensure timeliness and accurate completion of packaging and system work.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience required – minimum 1 year.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and use banding/shrink wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun required.
• Previous forklift certifications preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.
• Strong reading and comprehension of work instructions.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work independently with little supervision.
• High attention to detail required.
• Physical strength to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands, reaching, bending, and lifting objects above the head. Employees must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted and operate pallet jacks and forklifts.

Certifications

MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF CERTIFICAITON

Schedule

Sunday – Wednesday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM or Wednesday – Saturday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Pay Range

$20.00 – $22.00 hourly – The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
