Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a per diem Cardiovascular Technician to perform diagnostic cardiology procedures and generate imaging for licensed practitioners. The role supports patients from neonates to geriatrics, upholding our values of compassion, accountability and excellence.

Candidates should have knowledge of cardiovascular technology, EKG techniques, and be capable of multitasking with strong communication. BLS certification and dysrhythmia training are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cardiovascular technology, cardiac pathophysiology and hemodynamics.
• Experience with EKG prep, technique and lead placements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; dysrhythmia course and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiology procedures and produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Provide appropriate patient care across age groups from newborn to geriatric.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and effective communication; handle multiple tasks.

SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 0MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• One to three years experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular technology, cardiac pathophysiology, hemodynamics.
• EKG recordings: prep, technique, and lead placements.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects.
• Good communication skills, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issue of pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed, weekend rotate.
• Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of concentration, memory retention, alertness and the ability to handle stress with quick response to assigned duties.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredSuccessful completion of dysrhythmia courseBLS required

Pay Range:

$19.11-$27.87
