Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Per Diem Cardiovascular Technician to perform diagnostic cardiology procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Location: Morton Hospital, 88 Washington Street, Taunton, Massachusetts 02780. Shift: Variable. Education: high school diploma or equivalent; dysrhythmia course; BLS required. Experience: 1–3 years preferred. Pay range: $19.11–$27.87 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cardiovascular technology, cardiac pathophysiology, hemodynamics.
• EKG recordings: prep, technique, and lead placements.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects.
• Good communication skills, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issue of pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed, weekend rotate.
• Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of concentration, memory retention, alertness and the ability to handle stress with quick response to assigned duties.

SUMMARY

Performs diagnostic cardiology procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One to three years experience preferred, but not required.
