Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiology procedures and produce images for licensed practitioners, with patient care across newborn to geriatric ages. This per diem role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, concentrate under stress, and communicate effectively with the care team.

Knowledge of cardiovascular technology, cardiac pathophysiology, hemodynamics, and EKG lead placements is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; dysrhythmia course completed.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular technology and hemodynamics.
• BLS certification is required and patient safety prioritized.

Job description

SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic cardiology procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric). Knowledge of cardiovascular technology, cardiac pathophysiology, hemodynamics. EKG recordings: prep, technique, and lead placements. Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects. Good communication skills, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issue of pediatrics and geriatrics. Flexibility to work overtime as needed, weekend rotate. Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of concentration, memory retention, alertness and the ability to handle stress with quick response to assigned duties. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of dysrhythmia course BLS required

Pay Range: $19.11-$27.87
