Job summary

Akima ATS seeks an Aircraft Mechanic I (avionic/electrician) to maintain and troubleshoot MH-60M aircraft electrical and avionics systems. You will repair wiring, replace components, and work with a team during scheduled maintenance.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens with the ability to obtain a secret clearance, own tools, and have 6+ years in rotary wing aviation. Solder certification and solder vision testing are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
• Must have own tools/toolbox.
• 6+ years' experience in rotary wing aviation. SOF aviation experience is desirable.
• Experience using multi-meters and other applicable special tools.
• Must have or be able to pass Basic solder certification.
• Must be able to pass solder vision testing.
• Must be able to pass a basic physical to be a part of an aircraft towing team.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace aircraft wiring, replace aircraft components, and troubleshoot electrical systems as directed.
• Disassemble, clean, wash, inspect, repair, and reassemble aircraft in scheduled maintenance as a team.
• Use multi-meter and avionic test sets to maintain and troubleshoot systems.
• Read schematics and maintenance data to determine repair methods for malfunctioning components.
• Perform administrative actions with aircraft forms and records; experience with ACN or other electronic logbook system.
