Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) seeks an Aircraft Mechanic I to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on MH-60M rotor-wing aircraft on-site. You will inspect, repair, and replace components, and document work in the electronic logbook/phase book, including power-on checks and post-maintenance flight line support.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and your own tools.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Must have own tools/toolbox.
• Minimum of 6 years in aircraft maintenance.
• 2 years of SOF MDS (MH-6, MH-47, MH-60) experience desirable.
• May be required to pass a respirator physical for confined-space operations.
• Must pass a basic physical to support aircraft movement/on flight line.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb on aircraft and work around it.

Responsibilities

• Mechanic adjusts, repairs, or replaces components on aircraft during scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
• Performs repairs and inspections and logs work in the electronic logbook/phase book.
• Performs power-on checks, aircraft rigging, and supports post-maintenance flight line operations.
• Uses hand tools, calibrated tools, and aircraft special tools.
• Disassembles, washes, inspects, repairs, and reassembles phase aircraft.
• Participates in aircraft tow team moving aircraft.
