Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Two years clinical experience with psychiatric mental health population; supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensure by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse; Psychiatric Mental Health Certification preferred; CPR, AED and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of leadership, crisis and behavior management principles.

Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. Fairmount is a spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking a Nurse Manager to join our team. The Nurse Manager provides administrative and clinical supervision to all nursing staff and psychiatric technicians on two or more units. The Nurse Manager is a liaison to department directors and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments on their unit. The Nurse Manager promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
• Two (2) years clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population, previous clinical supervisory role in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse, American Nursing Association Psychiatric Mental Health Certificate preferred. Certification in CPR, AED and First Aid.
• Prefer knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing principles, working concepts and theory, leadership skills, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management
