Responsibilities:

1. Manage assigned staff and testing in Free Standing ERs or Hospital Core Laboratories, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Point of Care sections.
2. Ensure high standards of work, timely and accurate reporting across shifts.
3. Maintain compliance with accrediting agencies such as CAP, COLA, The Joint Commission, and others, including updating manuals and logs.
4. Develop and revise Policies and Procedures, implement new technologies and methods.
5. Ensure safety regulations are followed and manage quality improvement, quality control, and hazardous materials handling.
6. Demonstrate leadership, delegate responsibilities, encourage continuing education, perform in-service training, and evaluate staff.
7. Perform bench work as needed, manage laboratory operations, and participate in committee meetings.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of post-graduate hospital experience with supervisory roles in relevant laboratory sections.
• Commitment to compliance and ethical standards.

Education / Licensure:

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field.
• Registered Medical Technologist (MLS(ASCP), MLS(AMT), or CLS(NCA)).
