Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks a seasoned portfolio product leader to define the strategic vision for the passives portfolio, drive innovation, and guide new product development from concept to launch. You will align with business unit objectives and manage a cross-functional team to deliver on revenue, growth, and profitability KPIs.

The role requires building and communicating a portfolio plan, managing lifecycle strategies, and partnering with engineering and strategy teams to shape future platforms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 7+ years of experience, or Master's with 5+ years.
  • Leadership of portfolio product management teams and setting strategy.
  • Strong market analysis and go-to-market planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of portfolio product management team.
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing product management team.
  • Own portfolio performance and drive actions on revenue, growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Drive portfolio prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Define and maintain product lifecycle strategies and portfolio simplification decisions.
  • Develop and communicate the Portfolio Business Plan with KPIs and targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into features and future platforms.
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap and ensure alignment with engineering roadmap.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration to execute roadmap and budget approvals.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify unmet needs and risks.
  • Identify and assess fit of business partner and M&A targets.
  • Create detailed business cases for new product initiatives including GTM strategies.

Job Overview
Role Definition

Develops and sets the strategic vision and direction for the passives portfolio, leveraging deep understanding of technical, market, and customer needs to define the product roadmap, drive innovation, and new product development from concept to launch and ensure alignment with business unit objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of portfolio product management team. For example,
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing product management team, establishing clear roles, objectives, development plans, and performance expectations
  • Own portfolio performance and drive corrective actions against revenue, growth, profitability, market share, adoption, and other agreed business KPIs
  • Drive portfolio prioritization and resource allocation, balancing growth opportunities, customer needs, technical feasibility, investment requirements, and strategic fit.
  • Define and maintain clear product lifecycle strategies, including investment, expansion, rationalization, end-of-life, and portfolio simplification decisions
  • Develop and communicate the Portfolio Business Plan to internal and external stakeholders, including product vision, long term portfolio growth targets, value drivers, and KPI’s
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop business cases that translate customer requirements to product features, driving future innovation and next-gen platforms.
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap, including feature identification, requirements definition, and alignment with engineering technology roadmap.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration to execute product roadmap, approve budget and product stages, and create buy-in from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to gain insights and identify unmet needs, market trends and risks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and strategy teams to identify and assess fit of business partner and M&A targets
  • Create detailed business cases for new product initiatives, including market analysis, financial projections, risk assessment, and go-to-market confidence.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies, including distribution strategy, and collaborate with downstream product and marketing team to drive go-to-market processes and initiatives.

Education and Experiene

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with 7 or more years of experience; or Masters degree with 5 or more years of experience.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $143,900- $215,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
