Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a Manager, Accounting to lead daily financial operations, oversee the general ledger, and ensure timely financial statements.

Reporting to the Director, NSC Controller, you will manage a team, coordinate external audits, and drive process improvements using Oracle Fusion. Strong communication and internal controls are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting with 7+ years in general ledger accounting and supervisory experience.
• Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas and data analysis.
• Experience in multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes and maintain the general ledger.
• Review and approve journal entries; reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Lead and supervise accounting staff and coordinate with external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvements and technology to scale growth.
• Collaborate with regional finance management and manage Oracle Fusion projects.

The Manager, Accounting will oversee the day-to-day and month end accounting activities. Working under the direction of Director, NSC Controller, the Manager, Accounting directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to efficiently and accurately record operational activities within the general ledger. The Manager, Accounting should be a motivated, self-starting individual who is able to think outside of the box and help the team scale for growth through use of technology and implementation of process improvement initiatives. The Manager, Accounting will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles as well as policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position meets tight deadlines and addresses a multitude of accounting activities notably general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned operational accounting activities required to maintain the general ledgerincluding leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
• Review and approve journal entries prepared by team
• Review account reconciliations on all balance sheet accounts and analyzes them to determine the appropriateness of the balances. Prepare reconciliation on certain higher-risk or complex account balances
• Review, investigate and resolve significant accounting and reporting issues
• Manage, train, and supervise a team that may comprise of supervisors, senior accountants, and staff accountants
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely preparation and review of audit workpapers
• Partner with regional finance management to provide requested accounting support
• Perform appropriate commentary on flux or trend explanations of our financial statements on a monthly basis. Perform other ad hoc analyses as needed by management
• Identify, develop and implement improvements in operational procedures as well as technology innovations to scale for continued growth
• Develop, implement, and execute policies, goals, and objectives within the department, as well as establishing enhanced documentation for all accounting related functions
• Review key contracts and complex arrangements to ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Support, review, and implement new accounting pronouncement changes when applicable to the company. Assist to establish proper internal controls over key accounting functions
• Ability to understand Oracle Fusion applications. Manage projects related to accounting software implementations and upgrades with Oracle
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Engage in excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Perform special projects and analyses as well as other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and over 7 years of general ledger accounting experience, including prior supervisory experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced knowledge in Excel software applications and formulas

Preferred

• Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company
• Master's Degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant licensure
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion

Compensation Information

$116,000.00-$150,000.00 / Annually
