Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Patient Care Associate Trainee (PCA) to support nursing units at Northeastern University’s nursing community. Duties include assisting the healthcare team, monitoring vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs under RN guidance.

Enrolled nursing students (sophomore to senior) with CPR/BLS credentials and 0–1 year patient care experience are preferred. Onsite work at 55 Fruit Street with hourly pay information provided by Mass General Brigham.

Qualifications

• Enrolled sophomore to senior nursing students are eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience in patient care (0–1 year) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the healthcare team in delivering safe patient care.
• Monitor and record vital signs; assist with blood draws and EKGs.
• Respond to patient requests promptly while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The duties of Patient Care Associate Trainee (PCA) include: Assisting the healthcare team; the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the guidance of an RN.PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs.Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.If any of the units you are interested in are filled, we will inform you of the next vacancy based on your listed choices.Current enrolled Northeastern University students only.
