Brown University Health seeks a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join the Oncology Department in Providence, RI. The role reports to the Medical Director and Operations Director, focusing on compassionate, patient-centered care across diagnosis, treatment, and disposition.
Responsibilities include taking histories, performing exams, conducting procedures, coordinating tests, and educating patients and families. Requires a MS in PA Studies or NP master’s, and a MA license to practice.
Reporting to the Medical Director and the Director of Operations and working as part of the Oncology Department team, the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will participate in all aspects of care including diagnosis, treatment and disposition with a particular focus on compassionate and courteous service.
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required or master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program. Current Massachusetts license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is required. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively alongside our Emergency Physicians.
