Job summary

Qnity is seeking an MFT Analytical Technician to perform analytical testing, characterization, and troubleshooting of materials used in electronic applications. You will support product development and ensure quality within Qnity Electronic Materials International, LLC.

The role requires shift work (12HR) with a pay rate of $30 per hour, and a path toward contributing to ISO-compliant testing and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor in chemistry or related field preferred.
• 3 years in an industrial analytical lab, preferably electronics or chemical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instruments including at least two of GC, HPLC, ICP-OES, UV-Vis.
• Strong analytical chemistry knowledge and data interpretation.
• Experience with LIMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments to ensure accurate results.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to engineers and scientists.
• Perform root cause analysis for out-of-spec results and support quality issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate lab records and ensure compliance with safety and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams on material characterization and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and coordinate with vendors for major repairs.
• Manage laboratory supplies and inventory levels.

The MFT Analytical Technician will be responsible for performing analytical testing, characterization, and troubleshooting of materials used in electronic applications, ensuring product quality and supporting new product development within Qnity Electronic Materials International, LLC.

Shift: 12HR 12PM - 12AM

Pay Rate: $30.00 hr.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as chromatography (GC, HPLC, GPC), spectroscopy (FTIR, UV-Vis, ICP-OES /MS)
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate analytical instrumentation, ensuring optimal performance and accurate results.
• Analyze and interpret data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to engineers and scientists.
• Perform root cause analysis for out-of-specification results and assist in resolving quality issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all analytical work, including sample preparation, testing procedures, and results.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to support material characterization and process improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and perform minor repairs; coordinate with vendors for major repairs.
• Manage laboratory supplies and ensure proper inventory levels.

Job Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma. Associate's or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in an industrial analytical laboratory, preferably within the electronics or chemical industry.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining various analytical instruments, including at least two of the following: GC, HPLC, ICP-OES, UV-Vis.
• Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles and data interpretation.
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to follow strict safety guidelines and work with hazardous materials.

The Pay range for this role is $24.40 - $38.34 Hourly
